The most common mistake when choosing a stool is ignoring seat height. A stool that’s too high or too low can ruin comfort and usability.
Rule of thumb: allow 25–30 cm between the seat and the countertop for comfortable legroom. Always measure first, style comes second.

The right material depends on how and where the stool will be used:

Ideal spacing: 55–65 cm per stool (measured from the center of one seat to the center of the next)
Example: If your counter or island is 2 meters long, divide the total length by the recommended space per stool
(200 cm ÷ 60 cm ≈ 3 stools). A 2-meter surface fits 3 stools comfortably, with adequate elbow room and visual balance.

Comfort depends on thoughtful details:
This is especially important for kitchens and social spaces where stools are used daily.
