How much space does a swivel dining chair need?

As with any dining chair, allow about 60 cm of table width per chair, a little more for a carver. Behind the chair you need less room than with a standard chair, because you turn instead of pushing back.

Do the chairs return to position by themselves?

Some models have an automatic return; with most, you turn the chair back yourself. The product description says which function a model has.

Which upholstery is easiest to live with?

Fabric and bouclé are hard-wearing and feel warm; velvet looks refined and stays clean with a soft brush. With children at home, darker colours such as anthracite or grey are the most practical.
